Are you looking for an expert asian rhinoplasty in Sydney? Well, Dr Hodgkinson in here for you!
Dr. Hodgkinson is a firm believer that the results of a rhinoplasty procedure should be ethnically appropriate, fitting in with the person’s ethnic profile. For his Asian patients, Dr. Hogkinson approaches the process in such a way that the bridge and tip of the nose are given more projection.
Dr. Hodgkinson prefers to use the patient’s own tissue during a rhinoplasty, usually a small piece of bone from behind the elbow. This achieves the desired result but with a more reliable outcome. This is particularly pertinent long term where complications such as extrusion and infection are less likely to occur if the patient’s own tissue has been used.
The nasal-tip cartilages can be surgically modified, stitched and reshaped, reducing a boxy tip to a more pyramidal shape. For this, Dr. Hodgkinson usually uses an open procedure. For Asians patients who would prefer a greater projection in the tip of the nose, Dr. Hodgkinson is able to stitch or stack cartilage grafts onto the underlying cartilages which provide the desired tip elevation.
